Learning Automatic

If you choose to go for your automatic licence. The experience will be quite similar to manual driving, but without the added pressure of changing gears and using the clutch. From beginners to advanced drivers, we are here to teach you the right techniques to become a safe and confident driver. Our goal is to help you obtain your driver's license so you can hit the road independently.

Taking your first steps

Your first ever lessons

Your first automatic driving lessons are about getting comfortable and feeling safe behind the wheel.

You’ll start by learning:

  • how the car responds in automatic

  • steering, braking, and smooth control

  • moving off, stopping, and basic road positioning

  • quiet streets at your pace

There’s no rush and no pressure to “get it right”.
These early lessons are about building familiarity and confidence so driving starts to feel normal, not stressful.

Develop your driving skills

Once you’re more comfortable controlling the car, your lessons begin to build naturally.

You’ll start practising:

  • better observation and awareness

  • turning at intersections

  • managing traffic and other drivers

  • improving smoothness and consistency

Each lesson builds on what you already know.
Nothing is skipped, and nothing is forced — you move forward when you’re ready.

Building your skills and gaining confidence

As your confidence grows, lessons focus on real-world driving skills.

This includes:

  • busier roads and traffic situations

  • hazard perception and decision-making

  • lane changes and merging

  • driving independently with less guidance

You’ll learn how to stay calm, read the road, and make safe decisions — not just follow instructions.
The goal is for you to feel capable driving on your own, not just during lessons.

Learning parking and getting ready for your PDA

Parking and manoeuvres are introduced once your general driving skills are solid.

You’ll learn:

  • reverse parking

  • parallel parking

  • other PDA test manoeuvres

  • how to perform them correctly and consistently

When you’re ready, lessons shift toward PDA preparation, focusing on:

  • DOT test requirements

  • common mistakes

  • building confidence for test day

PDA lessons are arranged by contacting me directly so we can plan them properly around your test.

If you are already experienced on the road we can progress faster and evaluate what we need to do to get you ready for your PDA.
